Who we are

Rachel Mast Design creates extraordinary spaces that uniquely enhance each client’s life. Over 20 years, Rachel Mast has designed hundreds of residential and commercial projects globally, with a focus on modern and period design.

Rachel Mast’s design work includes 30,000 square foot residences, 100,000 square foot offices, private airplanes, restaurants, and retail spaces. Rachel’s client base spans Fortune 500 CEOs, royalty, celebrities, and (by sheer coincidence) owners of professional football, baseball, basketball, and hockey teams.

Rachel Mast is an experienced interior designer, antique dealer, and entrepreneur. After receiving her Masters in Interior Design from Parsons, she worked with Peter Marino in New York and Emily Summers in Dallas, designing and executing multiple multimillion-dollar projects, published in Interior Design, House Beautiful, and Met Home.

In 1997, Rachel founded and built Circline, an international art and antiques marketplace. Circline aggregated over $1 billion of inventory from 2000 dealers across 5 continents to provide a centralized market for private collectors, interior designers, and businesses. Circline had offices in Dallas, New York, London, and Paris.

Rachel left Circline in 2002 to travel around the world twice. Visiting over 100 countries, she analyzed international architecture and design while collecting sources from all corners of the globe.

Excited to return to design she moved to Austin, Texas to start Rachel Mast Design, Inc. Since 2004, RMD has designed for corporate and residential clients in Texas, Colorado, California, New York, Britain, Mexico, and South Africa.

RACHEL MAST

Chairman, Founder

STACY DRASAR

Senior Designer

Stacy, originally from Texas, established her interior design career in NYC where she worked in residential design for Sills Huniford and Bruce Bierman Design and in commercial design for Ralph Lauren. During her 12+ years at Ralph Lauren she became one of the lead designers for Global Store Development, designing and opening stores worldwide, while working and living in NYC and Paris. After getting married and starting a family, Stacy wanted to return to her roots and raise her daughter in Texas, where she currently works as a Senior Designer at Rachel Mast Design.

EVERETT PHILLIPS

Senior Designer

Everett is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from the Fay Jones School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a Bachelor of Interior Design. She interned with a Harper Howey Design while in school, and moved to Austin upon graduation to work as a Junior Designer for Rachel Mast Design.

JOHANNA MADOFF

Team Member

Born in Florida but spending most of her adult years in Manhattan, she moved to Austin with her husband and son in 2013. She met her husband in Culinary School, and spent many years working in the Restaurant Industry in New York City. She has always had an interest in interior design and it definitely increased as she designed and renovated her home two years ago. Her efficiency and organizational skills are definitely an asset to our office. In her spare time, you will find her watching her son’s Baseball games and hiking with her family and Labradoodle, Finn.

PHOEBE CROW

Team Member

Originally from Houston, Texas, Phoebe grew up immersed in the residential home design industry. Influenced and raised around her father’s custom home building company and her mother’s successful career as a realtor, Phoebe developed a passion for design early on. With a strong background in visual and graphic design—including painting, ceramics, drawing, digital media, and photography—she decided to apply her creative skills professionally. During her early college summers, she gained experience working for two residential interior designers in Houston. Later, she spent a year learning alongside a local designer in Westlake, gaining valuable exposure to the Austin design scene. Phoebe graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Kinesiology & Health and a minor in Architectural Interior Design. She is excited to be part of the Rachel Mast Design team and looks forward to contributing her skills and creativity to upcoming projects.

MAKAYLA WOOD

Team Member

Makayla was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She has always had an eye and passion for creativity and design. She moved to Rocky Top to pursue her education at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. While at the university, she learned that the built environment should be inspiring and captivating. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Interior Architecture and moved from her southern roots to the great state of Texas. She is currently pursuing her dreams as a junior designer at Rachel Mast Design in Austin!

ANNA RANSLEM

Team Member

While growing up in Houston, Anna had her first taste of the residential interior design world in the 6th grade, helping to design her family’s home with their interior designer, after which she was determined to follow the career path. After taking an interior design class and interning with a Houston based interior designer in high school, she was accepted into the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Architecture as an interior design major. While the School of Architecture often focuses on commercial projects, Anna knew that her true passion was designing beautiful, yet functional living spaces. She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design and is very excited to start her career with the amazing team at Rachel Mast Design.
